Installing Microsoft Access Runtime

What is Microsoft Access Runtime?

Our software is built on Microsoft Access. To run it, you need either the full version of Microsoft Access (included with some Microsoft 365 plans) or the free Microsoft Access Runtime.

Do I Need to Install It?

You need the Access Runtime if:

  • You see an error about “Microsoft Access” when trying to open the software
  • You do not have Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 installed
  • You have Microsoft 365 but it does not include Access

You do not need it if you already have Microsoft Access or a Microsoft 365 plan that includes Access.

How to Install

  1. Visit the Microsoft website and search for “Microsoft 365 Access Runtime”
  2. Download the version that matches your system — 64-bit for most modern computers
  3. Run the installer and follow the prompts
  4. Restart your computer
  5. Try opening the software again

Important Notes

  • The Access Runtime must match the architecture of your Office installation. If you have 32-bit Office, install the 32-bit Runtime
  • If you are unsure which version you need, open a support ticket and we will help
