  • Looking for ETA of myNWT update that will use new version of Microsoft Access

    Hello,

I am wondering when the next update for myNWT will be released and if this update will allow users to use the newest version of Microsoft Access to run the program?

Right now I am stuck running myNWT on our old club laptop (which is ancient) and I would like to be able to run it on my personal laptop. However, my personal laptop has the latest version of Microsoft Office / Microsoft Access on it and I don’t want to uninstall this, which it says I have to do in order to install the older version of Microsoft Access.

If a new update is coming in the near future, we will just wait! But if it’s going to be quite some time, we will need to purchase a new club laptop and just run the older version.

    Thank you!

It will run on the latest version of Access\Office. It just needs to be 32bit. If your laptop has 64bit it is easy to change. A quick google search will give you instructions.

      Hi Richard,

Thank you for your answer. I am still wondering if there will be a newer version coming out that will work on the 64 bit and when the newer version will be coming out?

      Thanks!

No, I have no plans at this point to switch to 64 bit. There are too many people using 32 bit that would be effected and I cannot have two separate code streams.

I was not paying attention when I purchased my new lap top to run the K9T software. Most of the newer computers are 64 bit and according to the last reply this software only runs on 32 bit. What to do? 32 bit is slower and according to Microsoft they are not going to support it much longer..

    Will 32-bit disappear?

The writing was on the wall. Microsoft has started, what promises to be a very long process, that of no longer supporting 32-bit versions of its latest operating system. It began on May 13, 2020.May 25, 2020
